| I have finally finished the first book of the new Rick Riordan series, and I still say it's very good. To remind those who haven't read any of the Percy-Jackson-series yet, it's about teenage demigods of Greek origin. The new series, however, makes an addition to this cast: Now we're talking about Greek and Roman demigods. Still, the young heroes have to complete quests, fighting monsters and demons for a greater good, following mysterious prophecies. The funniest parts occur when ancient and modern times clash: When the ancient villain Medea turns up as the boss of a Chicago department store, or a satyr working as a high school coach to make use of his special abilities.
I loved the first five books, and I love the new series, too - anyone who liked Harry Potter should give this a shot. | |

| I really enjoyed this book, and would like to second the recommendation. If you have younger siblings or children, give this a look - it's great stuff for kids and adults. |
