Um, Swiss isn't a language - usually, they speak a dialect of German, or Italian or French. I wouldn't count Schwyzerdütsch as a separate language, really - but that is probably a matter of definition Very Happy

I think I would like to speak a bit of Danish too, as that makes up most of my heritage.

I have a lot of German in me, though I don't look it, I don't think. I have a lot of American Indian in me, too, and Anglo. I have no idea what I look like. I've been told that I have an "ethnic" or "exotic" appearance, though I have absolutely no idea what that is supposed to mean. I'm not up-to-date on descriptions, I guess.

Je ne parle pas espagnol! (I don't speak Spanish!)

Pobrecita, Nicholle.

(Poor little Nicholle. I think that Spanish is a beautiful language. I also think that we need to speak in English, if we don't want Solveig to yell at us. Do you agree?)

(It's true, Spanish is rather beautiful; French is beautiful too. Do you agree? No, Solveig will not yell. She speaks French, German, and English, yes?)

Por supuesto. Todos los lenguajes romances son bellos.

Es verdad? Ella puede hablar todos los tres? Bueno!

--------------------------------
Of course. All Romance languages are beautiful.

Is it true? She can speak all three? Great! It would be funny is everybody talked in another language then translated it all to English.

To be honest, I want to learn French when I go to college.

Je pense c'est vrai! Elle est assez intelligente.

Tu veux parles français, Zara? Bien!

I think it's true! She is rather intelligent.

You want to speak French, Zara? Good! It is a difficult language, but it is very fun. I'm taking five years of French during high school.

---

I know you don't speak Spanish, but aren't the two more or less similar? Because both are Romance languages?

--

They are similar, yes. Still, I can not read Spanish or speak Spanish. When I read in Spanish, I recognize words similar to French, though.

--

Same here. I don't understand French at all, but I recognize the cognates. I hope it will help me in the future.

Yes, they're romantic languages. I didn't understand how French is a romantic language, because the Franks were Germanic. But now I understand that the Franks were in the Holy Roman Empire.

(Forgive me if that Spanish is rather broken. I speak enough for a two-year-old.)

Ah, Kelsey. Hablas muy bien. Tienes confidencia.

Ah, Kelsey. You speak quite well. Have confidence. The only way to improve your ability of understanding any language is to speak it. You need to practice it, and you're speaking quite nicely.

Dictionary Definition : Kelsey-- Frequently called "Kels," this female specimen of Homo Sapiens belongs to the Literary Cabinet universe. Although she is a young member, she has shown her maturity to be above other species, sometimes. "Kelsey" can behave quite crazy in her own right. One of her most noticeable traits is paranoia and knowledge of trolls.
