LOL Limericks!

Okay, like the Haiku challenge, but limericks instead. Write a limerick about, or just including the word given.

Limerick: a kind of humorous verse of five lines, in which the first, second, and fifth lines rhyme with each other, and the third and fourth lines, which are shorter, form a rhymed couplet.

I'll start.

Britney Spears is in the news again,
that poor girl is under such strain.
Maybe if she wore panties
or moved to the andes,
People wouldn't think she's insane.

Next: Stephen King.

Stephen King is a great author,
because I'm always waiting for his characters to burst in my door.
His books always terrify me,
plus he dissed Stephenie!
It's strange that the Twilighters think his writing style is a bore.

Next: The Beatles

The Beatles had some great song
And everybody could sing along
But they'd have to be mean
to live in a yellow submarine
and sing there all day long.

Next: cowboys

Cowboys have this weird slang,
and I could mention Texan songs that they sang.
A gay movie called Brokeback Mountain,
was a hilarious take on cowboy men.
You'll often hear them going, "dang!"

Next: Leprechauns

Leprechauns have lots of gold
that is true, or so I'm told
I've searched and I've sought,
and never found the pot
Perhaps it's already been sold.

Next: Johnny Depp

Johnny Depp is a handsome actor;
any girl would want him to enter their door.
I wonder what they see in him?
Guess I'm just dim.
Or maybe because he's already spoken for.

Next: USA

I am Canadian, I'm proud to say
I wouldn't want to live in the USA
I don't mean to push
but you guys had bush
and that's just not okay.

Next: Moose

Will make limerick on Moose Mason, the character from Archie Comics.

Moose is as dumb as an ox,
but still I think he rocks.
He is slow on learning of all sorts,
yet he is very good in sports.
Mess with his girlfriend Midge and you'll fly off from your socks.

Next: Japanese culture

I know nothing about Japanese Culture
So I'll write about a vulture
it's a great big bird
that can be heard...
oh crap, I should've stuck with culture!

(I know, that one sucks)

Next: civil war

Brother against brother might fight
Doesn't mean either one's right
Kin left at home
Left all alone
Yet in hope they still leave on the light.


Next: Libraries

Everywhere I go I see books,
on tables, chairs, crannies and nooks.
Lazy people sleep,
bookworms dig deep.
I grab a book, sit down and get hooked.

Next: Terror teachers

I'm hiding under the bleachers
trying to escape those hideous creatures
with their great big books
and their dirty looks
Oh how I fear the terror teachers.

Next: Chucky Cheese

The kids like to go there and play
It feels like I'm giving money away
Chucky Cheese is a rat
The pizza tastes flat
Yet we are there for most of the day.


Next: Allergies

We all have allergies
that make us itch or sneeze.
I get red spots
that need shots
Won't someone tell me what my allergy is, please?

Next: Twilight by Stephenie Meyer

Really? Anyways...

There once was a woman called Meyer,
Whose hopes for writing lit were dire.
So she went to sleep
And made a story to creep
After that, who'd want her for hire?

Next: Diamonds (shape or gem, your choice)

Diamonds are great for a girl's best,
But don't really afford a comfortable rest,
They are cold and so hard,
And to get them you have to lose your lard,
I think that your best option is a chest.

So real did it seem!

I try to have a lunch that's good,
Nutritious just like it should
But then a pizza pie
Crosses my eye
Eat the pizza? Of course I would!

Next: Water fountain

The water fountain reminds me of school
Where the kids who owned the fountain were "cool"
Then a kid would pull a prank
And drain the water tank
Thus leaving on the floor a little pool.
