Always ready to laugh about stupidity, this being has long occupied a special moderator status on the LC. As one of the very few LC creatures who actually can get and keep a partner, she is the object of constant envy. Though madness is not part of the average Rodents characteristics, this particular feature can at times be subject to change, especially when striken by severe sleep deprivation. Well, for me, top spot is tied between
John Keats Tennyson Robert Service
I love Keats because of his darker qualities. I love Tennyson for his use of language and the way his poems sound. I love Robert Service because I grew up on his poetry.
Sorry to all you Shakespeare fans, he does not top my list.

Without a moment's hesitation: Percy Shelley, William Blake, T.S. Eliot. All three have me in tears within minutes.

Hmm... That would be T.S. Eliot, Edgar Allen Poe, Robert Frost, and Emily Dickinson.

I love Emily Dickinson. Most of her poems are short but say so much in so few words.

Lately I've been reading (and writing) more poetry, and I can now add more poets to my list of favorites. Besides my favorite Anne Sexton, whom I've already listed, I especially like Dorothy Parker and Sylvia Plath. Below is one of Sylvia Plath's poems, read by Plath herself.

Come to think of it, I love Dorothy Porter. Have you read "The Monkey's Mask", anyone of you? It is basically a crime novel in poems. I love this book, and can read it again and again.

I loves me some Emily Dickinson, we actually studied her last year in English. But right now, I'm especially obsessed with Plath. I haven't read a ton of her work, just Ariel, a collection of her poems, and I just finished the Bell Jar.
Oh, and thanks for the video Nicholle, it was really cool!
