Perhaps we could each publicly state our own personal word goals, might make it easier to stick to our goals if we were the ones who set them. What do you think?

I'm also reluctant to put my work on the back burner, as I've done that too many times for even my taste. I think that if we're going to use our WIPs for NafebWriMo, we shouldn't count the words we already have. That'd be unfair. I have about 80,000 words for one story, so that'd be really unfair to someone who has only, like, 25,000 words. But we still haven't decided what the limit will be, so...

I'd like to participate, although I won't know how feasible it is until sometime in January- I start a ten-week internship in early January and it might keep me very busy. I know my friends who've already done their internships didn't do much besides sleep when they weren't at them.

Yay, Mariah! I'm glad you asked this; I was going to, but I had to leave for school (no snow day; I'm in finance class right now). Very Happy

As you already know, I'm definitely in! elephant

Oh my gosh!! I'd love to do this with the Literary Cabinet! I've never joined NanoWriMo before, since I only heard of it last year (when it was too late) and I couldn't participate this year because I was working on a novel already. But I'd like to do that here. Would it still be in November, or we going to have it in another month?

National Novel Writing Month. It is held every november and the goal is to write 50 000 words of a novel in the month. 50 000 words seemed a little extreme so, procrastinators at heart, tourterelle and I thought we could do one in February (the shortest month of the year) and lower the word count to something more suitable.

What's a NanoWriMo?

Edit: Wait, nevermind. I read it in the other topic. Sure, sounds good!
