One can spot "Laura," by the fun she has grading papers and drinking coffee, with triple coffee consumption ever since she quit smoking. Like another species, Homo Sapiens Zarasahanous, she enjoys picking at the extreme Twilight fans. This specimen is particularly fond of procrastinating, as most of the other species of the Literary Cabinet Universe are.

How much do you think does poetry lose when it's translated? I know that I detest Blake in German, and Dorothy Porter's "Monkey's Mask" - one of my favourite books - is simply atrocious in German...

Well, I can't say I've read many poems translated from other languages, but I would imagine it loses a lot of its meaning! A huge chunk of writing poetry is making sure the words flow well from one to the other, and that flow changes when the poem is translated.
