Dictionary Definition : Laura: Also known as "Solveig", her internet pseudonym, this female specimen of Homo Sapiens founded the Literary Cabinet world. One can spot "Laura," by the fun she has grading papers and drinking coffee, with triple coffee consumption ever since she quit smoking. Like another species, Homo Sapiens Zarasahanous, she enjoys picking at the extreme Twilight fans. This specimen is particularly fond of procrastinating, as most of the other species of the Literary Cabinet Universe are.

I have finally finished the first book of the new Rick Riordan series, and I still say it's very good. To remind those who haven't read any of the Percy-Jackson-series yet, it's about teenage demigods of Greek origin. The new series, however, makes an addition to this cast: Now we're talking about Greek and Roman demigods. Still, the young heroes have to complete quests, fighting monsters and demons for a greater good, following mysterious prophecies. The funniest parts occur when ancient and modern times clash: When the ancient villain Medea turns up as the boss of a Chicago department store, or a satyr working as a high school coach to make use of his special abilities.

I loved the first five books, and I love the new series, too - anyone who liked Harry Potter should give this a shot.

If history is doomed to repeat itself, bring on the beheadings.

I really enjoyed this book, and would like to second the recommendation. If you have younger siblings or children, give this a look - it's great stuff for kids and adults.
