One can spot "Laura," by the fun she has grading papers and drinking coffee, with triple coffee consumption ever since she quit smoking. Like another species, Homo Sapiens Zarasahanous, she enjoys picking at the extreme Twilight fans. This specimen is particularly fond of procrastinating, as most of the other species of the Literary Cabinet Universe are. Registration date : 2008-12-02

| I'm not a student anymore, at least not a high schooler... Can I answer anyway? 1) Have you ever cheated? And if so, what were the consequences? - Nope. Am proud to say that I got my straight Ds in math the honest way. 2) How many people do you think cheat at your school? - About half. 3) Does your school openly support academic integrity? - Yes. 4) Why do you think students cheat? - Because they are too lazy to take the honest way. 5) If you were desperate enough, would you cheat? - No. I'd fail and be able to look myself in the eyes. 6) Is this not the coolest banana you have ever seen? - Well. What can I say? | |

Yes but only during those annoying Saturday Chinese classes I was forced to go to when I was 12. I was never caught 2. Not very many. The people there either never come to school or never do their work or do their work honestly 3. Yes. We actually have some of the strictest policies about cheating around. Getting caught cheating could mean suspension or expulsion. 4. I think they do it because they're stuck they don't understand anything they've learned (my old reason) or they just want better grades. 5. No. My cheating days are over. Nowadays, I always get my own work done (even if i do procrastinate) and i always ask for help if I don't understand anything. 6. Yes, that is one sexy banana...lol

Number of posts : 1882 Age : 41 Location : Canada Dictionary Definition : Rodent - Homo Rodentiensis is a typical LC creature. Always ready to laugh about stupidity, this being has long occupied a special moderator status on the LC. As one of the very few LC creatures who actually can get and keep a partner, she is the object of constant envy. Though madness is not part of the average Rodents characteristics, this particular feature can at times be subject to change, especially when striken by severe sleep deprivation. This specimen is always found with Asian (Filipino) descent and is a loyal friend to the "good side" during the epic Choco War. A common mutualistic companion found with this specimen is a Pokemon (most likely, the epic Arceus). This species is closely related to the species Homo Sapiens Tourterelleous. | Is it okay if I'm not a high school student? 1) Have you ever cheated? And if so, what were the consequences? 2) How many people do you think cheat at your school? 3) Does your school openly support academic integrity? 4) Why do you think students cheat? 5) If you were desperate enough, would you cheat? ______________________________________________________ 1) Yes, a lot of times, actually. Even in grade school. Our motto was, "It's better to cheat than to repeat." If you got caught, you'd be sent to the Prefect of Discipline and you'd get a conduct C, which would ruin the chances of getting honor. 2) A LOT, and I'm not kidding. There were 54 cases filed for cheating in one year, as I recalled. 3) My Alma mater was hypocritical. They were always boasting how intelligent the students were, but in reality, it was because of cheating. (mostly) 4) I think one reason is the parents. They pressure their kids to always do well in school, so it results to them cheating so they can get a good grade. I know someone who once cheated because her mother kept slapping her in the face whenever she got a 90 and below on her quizzes. (A 90/100, imagine! And the mother gets so worked up already) 5) I probably would, if Math was concerned. But then, even if I was doing badly in Math and my classmates were already offering their answers, I still told them it was okay, I could do it myself. 6) Definitely. It reminds me of the song in Family Guy. "Peanut butter jelly time, peanut butter jelly time."

Interesting... 1) A few times, especially when I've had a hard time finding the answer!!! I didn't get caught. 2) It'd be easier to name how many people didn't cheat at my school. 3) Not really. They don't put much effort into it. Not like in my other schools. 4) They're lazy, they just don't understand the subject no matter how much they try, they like shortcuts, it's easier... 5) Yes. 6) Absolutely.

| I'm a freshman, so I can answer. If you meant cheating as in copying other people's homework, then these are my answers:
1) Yes, I've cheated many times. I didn't get caught. 2) At least half of students cheat weekly. 3) Well, yes, but they could do a better job. 4) Laziness, lack of understanding of the material, failure to keep up with assignments, ect. 5) Sure.
If you meant cheating as in copying on tests, quizzes, and exams then these are my answers:
1) I've cheated a few times, and I didn't get caught. 2) About an eighth of students cheat once a month, and many cheat on every single exam. 3) Well, yes, but they could do a better job. 4) Lack of understanding of the material (due to teacher incompetence, failure to put forth effort), panicking over bad grades, ect. 5) Absolutely.
